Girls in STEM are often interested in Marine Biology, but is this the right choice for you or your daughter? This October we are offering a unique opportunity for 4 girls to try out what it means to have a career in Marine Biology. We will engage in a 4-day Dolphin Research Programme under the supervision of Dr Elizabeth Hawking, Principal Investigator of Dolphin Research Australia. We will fill data sheets and take pictures of the bottlenose and humpback dolphins of Morton Bay, contributing to ongoing monitoring efforts. After the customary 8 hours a day at see (which may turn into a land-based survey if weather conditions dictate it) we will run the personal growth part of the programme.
